Indian Government bagged Rs. 67,719 Crore from 3G auction

The E-auction of 3G spectrum was over on 19th May,2010 and all the 71 blocks of 22 service areas were sold in the auction. The successful bidders are Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Essar, Reliance Communication, Aircel, Idea Cellular , Tata Teleservices and S.Tel and jointly they shell out Rs. 67,719 crore for their allotted slots.


Bharti Airtel and Reliance Communication- each won 13 of the 22 telecom zones on offer and other are remaining with Aircel, Vodafone and Tata.

This 3 G spectrum will enable these operators to give the high end data services to their customers and a new revolution is on for all the mobile users to use the services of 3 G like video chat, video streaming and file transfer facilities.
